Chief of Police Todd R. Lemon

Welcome

On behalf of the men and women of the Auburn Police Department, I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to our webpage. The dedicated officers of the Auburn Police Department are committed to maintaining peace and safety throughout our community by providing high-quality police services that are responsive to the needs of its’ citizens.

The mission of the Auburn Police Department is to preserve peace, to reduce crime and the fear of it, while striving to improve the quality of life of Auburn’s residents. We are committed to improving the collaboration between community residents, businesses and police officers through the use of industry wide best practices, complete transparency and a robust program of officer training and true career development.

These objectives are the core values of every member of our agency. It is my fundamental belief that the police are only truly successful with the support of the community they serve, and that begins with establishing a genuine, enduring relationship between the community and the police.

The Auburn Police Department is committed to enhancing our community and neighborhood policing efforts by responsibly deploying our officers based on identified community needs. Our agency prides itself on our proactive style of police work and believe that this approach drastically reduces crime and helps keep our community safe. The Auburn Police Department proudly maintains a strong working relationship with our public safety partners at the Auburn Fire Department as well as our federal, state, and local law enforcement counterparts.

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Chief of Police in the Town of Auburn. Working together, we will accomplish even greater things.

Chief Todd R. Lemon
